The Complete Chris Hemsworth Workout routine I have already done a successful post on one actor called Chris Evans so I thought staying in tune with first names of Chris I would talk about Chris hemsworths’s workout routine. Thor projected Chris Hemsworth into the limelight and many fitness institutions caught on that this guy has not been very muscular all his life. Pictures arose of the actor at around 6-12 months prior to filming which showed Chris with a standard physique. Chris Hemsworths workout routine was mainly aimed so that he could pack on a large amount of muscle in a short period of time. The bodyfat percentage was not insanely low however he did manage to build himself a very manly physique. Being a norse God it kind of comes hand in hand. The routine revolves a lot around shock tactics, this is when you put your body in ... Read More »

Motivation to lose weight
I’ve been thinking about motivation a lot recently after someone asked me what drives me to achieve my goals. I’ve thought about how I can put it into words that bare some meaning and are not just, ‘I want to do/achieve this so I do this.’ It’s turned out to be much harder than I thought. In life a lot of the time we have to rationalise our decisions. I was having breakfast with my housemate and he said but why? when talking about what I want to achieve. I then replied, ‘what I want doesn’t need to be reasoned, if I’ve found my calling and my true passion surely I should do everything I can to make it a reality.’ I think this makes a good response to where I get my motivation from and what motivation exactly is, its a product of a desire that is beyond reason ... Protein Shakes for Weight Loss
How Protein Shakes can Help Accelerate your Weight Loss It’s certainly dieting season so with that in mind I would like to tell you why I think protein shakes are great for weight loss. This applies to women just as much as it does to men. Protein shakes have revolutionised fitness for many people in an active and hectic lifestyle, they provide all the essential, conditionally essential and non essential amino acids our body needs to survive which brings me to my first point. Certain diets people take part in in order to lose weight require them to substantially reduce their food intake and eat lots and lots of vegetables. Dairy products are commonly cut out as well as red meat sources as they are considered too fatty. This leaves many people resorting to lots of vegetables and very minimal calories which can result in numerous problems. The first being, ... Read More »
The Optimum Rate of Muscle Growth
A series of factors affect how fast a person can build up muscle, in areas such as age, gender, time training and genetics. The first thing I am going to cover is the time training and why this might be the reason you are experiencing amazing gains or slightly reduced ones. When you first start bodybuilding you will be completely changing your lifestyle. It’s likely you will cut out foods that are detrimental to muscle growth, eat more that promote it, train in the gym 5 times a week and put stress on your body that it has never experienced before. Well at least in theory that is what you are supposed to be doing. This can cause many people to gain muscle mass at a phenomenal rate. I will not go into extreme detail but your body reacts by producing excesses of hormones such as testosterone, growth hormone etc ... Read More »
A guide to get shredded in time for summer!
It’s show time guys, if you are in this game to impress the opposite sex and make your peers envious as hell then here are some tips I have been adhering to in order to get lean as f**k. So i mean’t to do this post at the beginning of May however I didn’t so here it is now. Essentially this is a guide to lose a 1lb of body fat a week while still keeping muscle mass and hopefully adding to what you already have. This will bring out your muscles and accentuate what you already have. I say bring out your muscles…. not build new ones. In 10 weeks it is unlikely you will put on more than a couple pounds of muscle. This in fact would be an amazing gain as building muscle and losing fat is not an easy feat. One important thing to try and ensure ... Read More »
Issues and symptoms that arise from overtraining
One of the hardest things I find about working out and trying the achieve the body and fitness levels I want is taking the time off to ensure growth and recovery. I’m surely not alone when I say people could spend hours in the gym doing specific exercises to target each muscle group as well as the big primary lifts in order to stimulate growth. It’s instinctive to think that stimulating muscle more will cause you to grow more… Why is this a bad idea? Well this can cause the issue of overtraining. Overtraining Symptoms Overtraining results in coordination impairment, performance impairment and a series of psychological symptoms. The most common being the performance impairment. Athletes will experience diminished powers of endurance, strength, speed. Increase in recovery time, loss of ‘sparkle’ (competitive qualities). Susceptibility to demoralising influences before and during competition and increasing tendency to abandon the struggle. All the hard work ... Read More »
Hardgainer Diet
How to work out your Hardgainer Diet Hi Guys, in the video i just go through the two basic things that you need to amend if you are still not gaining any muscle. Nutrition is the most important part of anyone’s fitness regime, and before we can decide what we are going to eat we need to determine what our body actually needs in order to reach our goals. We need to first determine our basic metabolic rate, this is the amount of calories our body will need if it where in a coma. I am going to assume you don’t have access to measurements via calorimetry so we will use one of two equations. Calculation of calories needed to build muscle as a hardgainer Mifflin – St Jeor This equation is the most accurate in todays society however it does tend to overestimate your needs if you have a ... Best Pre Workout Supplements
The idea behind a pre workout supplement is that it get you ‘jacked’ up, ready and focused, solely to lift some weights. Using a combination of chemicals that stimulate your mind and your body. The hype behind of the best pre workout supplements is unreal, which to my mind also aids their effects. In this post I will look into what is in the top pre workout supplements, take a look at some natural alternatives and rank some of the market leaders against each other. What is in the best pre workout supplements? It seems reasonable to discuss the most well known ingredient first and that is caffeine. Caffeine I have yet to find a single pre workout that doesn’t contain this natural ingredient. It’s been used for hundreds of years as a stimulant. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system making you more alert. A easy demonstration of this is ... Read More »
